Even in the world of fast internet, devices and apps can have delays of exchanging data for 10 or 20 seconds. That's why SeizAware is built to alert on several channels.
Please note that seizure probabilty rises to > 75% (alert tresshold) only after about 8 seconds after a grand-mal seizure start which creates initial delay.
SeizAware app alert
SeizAware will send alert to all caregivers instantly after the seizure is detected.
If none of caregivers respond to the notification in ~15s, system will try to send notification to Telegram.
Setup Telegram message alert
1. If you haven't done so yet, download Telegram app and create an account.
2. Get your Chat ID, open Telegram and send a message to the seizuresAlerting bot.
3. It will reply with your ID, which you enter in SeizAware settings.
Notification sound
Notifications are sent via dedicated service and trigger the default device alarm sound and volume. So you can set the sound and volume on your device settings.
Particular settings from the default device browser are used. Thus if your device allows, you can change the settings for the browser and have different notification sound.
